Free SSM v1.2.5 Old software for Subaru
Free SSM 1.2.5 working on older Subaru models without CAN, only K-Line
Working on XP, Windows 7 and Windows 10.
Serial port connection with VAS6103 or USB Port (FTDI) FT232BL with others including VAG 409.
Functional Tests, you have to connect the green connector under the dash for this to work.
The older models have built in green connectors to enable ‘test mode’.
Look behind the passenger foot well carpet, near centre of the car.
When connected, the radiator fans will automatically cycle ON and OFF to confirm operation.
Other self tests are also performed.
More tests are available with these connectors joined when using Subaru Select Monitor or Free SSM.
This mode is used by the dealership to check functionality when a new vehicle is received or requires repairs.
Do not drive the vehicle with these green connectors attached.
