Here is a functional Piwis III with VAS 6154 support! Simply load them on VMware Workstation Pro and start Piwis3. Connect your VAS 6154 and you should see the USB connection at the bottom left of the screen.
How to check the connection with VAS6154:
Navigate to D:\\PiwisApps\\VCI\\Actia_64\\XS_D_PDU_API_64
and perform ACTIA_D-PDU_API_Tester.exe
The dropdown lists for modules and resource should be filled out when VAS6154 is recognized.
Click Start to carry out all tests - all tests should be successful.
Piwis3 Driver for VAS6154 V3:
1. Disconnect VAS6154 if connected.
2. Copy the VCI folder to D:\PiwisApps\ overwriting the existing files and folders.
3. Run "VW ODIS VAS 6154 Driver 1.6.2.1105.exe". Ignore the "No ODIS installed" message.
4. Done! Plug in VAS6154 and you are good to go.
NOTES:
As far as I know, this only works for VAS6145 clones with firmware 1.6.6.0 and licence expiry 31-12-2030.
I suggest you DO NOT run the VxManager program, especially if connected to WiFi.
The program has a nasty habit of trying to update the firmware, which deletes the
inbuilt licences and bricks the VCI.
The VCI icon on the PIWIS desktop will show as disconnected. Ignore it.
