Information from FAQ I have found below direct copy from sellers.
I do not believe that #2 is correct. There seems to be a STM405 chip confusion.
When looking at STM chip versions, the last 4 digits matter, and are very seldom mentioned by sellers.
I see listing for "STMF405" but show RGT6 as last 4 on chip, instead of original VGT6.

I would imagine #2 below in FAQ is realted to online update for VGT6 vs RGT6.
IIRC there are logos printed different or missing(clone) for some STM chips. (I believe 429)

Test and Save after VCDS Launches.
VCDS runs without loader.

Reports of loader 08.023.(07) has bricked cables.
This seems to be related to at minimum cables that use unlabled(clone) STM chips.
Unsure what STM chip the unlabled are supposed to be. (I believe 429)
Since 23.04 has a new Bootloader
It isnt possible to downgrade firmware below that
23.3.1 works with VIIPlus 23.02
