Pre-Install checklist:
1 - Press <Windows Key> + <R>, and type in " useraccountcontrolsettings ", Press <ENTER>. Adjust Sliding bar all the
way to the bottom (Never Notify). Click [OK] or [Accept] on the UAC window that pops up. Close the UAC Settings window.
2 - Again, Press <Windows Key> + <R>, and type in " msinfo32 ", this will
open the "System Information" window. Scroll down and look for
the "System Type" section, it will show either "x64-based PC"
or "x86-based PC". Take note of which one is showing.
3 - Temporarily disable windows security / Anti-virus Real Time Protection.
Often times KeyGens/KeyMakers/HWID Tools are flagged
as Viruses because of how their coded and how they behave.
4 - Newer versions of Windows 10, and Windows 11 have a function called "Memory integrity" in the "Core Isolation" section,
this feature will need to be disabled for your Cat Comm adapter to function properly. Press <Windows key> and type in
" Device Security " and press <Enter>, click on [Core Isolation details], and switch "Memory Integrity" to {OFF}
5 - If ET Has been installed befor this, please use windows native program to uninstall that version.
ET 2019C Install:
1 - Locate "Cat ET 2019c" folder and Extract files. Open up the extracted folder and
locate "ET 2019C v1.0.exe" file. <Right Click> + [Run As Admin] on this installer.
Click your way through the installer and complete whatever it says to do. Close the
ReadMe file that opens, and then click [Finish]
2 - Locate "Patch Files" folder, and then <Right Click> + [Run As Admin] on the appropriate
Patch Installer exe file. (Refer to Pre-install step 2) either x64 or x86. It will
ask you if you want to "Replace existing files" click [Yes to all], It will then
ask "Are sure you want to continue?" click [Accept], then click [OK] when it says
"These files have been added to the registry".
*********If it opens an error saying "Unable to find directory xxxxxxxxxxx" you have selected *******
*********the wrong patch installer, close and repeat this step with the other one. *******
3 - Locate "HWID6" inside the "HWID + Keymaker" folder. <Right Click> + [Run as Admin] on "HWID6.exe"
A new window will open, click on [Copy To Clipboard], then click [OK] on the confirmation window.
4 - Locate "KM.exe" inside the "KM" folder, <Right Click> + [Run as admin]. A window will open with a
Large empty section in the top. <Right Click> + [Paste] the HWID from {Step 3} into this section.
If you would like to: Change the username section to whatever your heart desires, the rest of the
fields should remain unaltered. Click on [Make Key], and then click [OK] on the confirmation
window that appears, Click on [Exit] in the "KM.exe" window, and you can now close the "HWID.exe" window.
5 - Locate the new folder that has been made "lics", and open that bad boy up. Open the folder
with the user name you selected in {Step 4}, youll see "catet.lic" file. <Right Click> + [Copy] that file.
6 - Locate / Navigate to the following folder:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Offboard Information Products\2019C"
7 - Open the "Flash" folder and <Right Click> + [Paste] the "catet.lic" file into there, Go back to
the 2019c folder, and open the "Comet" folder, <Right Click> + [Paste] the "catet.lic" file there
aswell.
8 - Press <Windows key> + <D> to go to your desktop. Locate the shiny new "2019C Electronic Technician" icon,
<Right Click> and click on [Properties], it will open to the {General} tab, click on [Advanced]. Click on
the {bubble}/{check box} for "Always run as administrator"
******If it is greyed out, and you are unable to do that, open the {Security} tab, click on [Edit], select your******
******User for the pc, and click on the {bubble}/{check box} for "Full Control", click [Apply] and then [OK]. ******
******In the main "Properties" window, go to the {Compatibitlity} tab, make sure the "Run This Program as ******
******Administrator" bubble is filled. Click [Apply], click [OK] to close the window. ******
9 - You have completed the installation and cracking process. Enjoy the program, and dont forget to offer me a beer!
