Patching instructions:
You have to select 3 folders in order to patch them (so you have to do the patch process 3 times)
drive~:\PET2\PORSCHE\PROG
drive~:\PET2\PORSCHE\PROG1
drive~:\PET2\PORSCHE\PROG2
You could also select the parent PET folder to patch only one time, but this will take longer because the patch will search through all files in the folder (including the several gigabyte DATA folder). So it is better and also faster to select and patch the single PROG folders directly.
The first patch option is only for installing newer updates (> 727). In this option, the algeni loader can NOT be used. If the patch was successful, you will see that PET is displayed as version 8.6. If this is not the case, then the patch was not successful and the process was blocked, for example, by an antivirus program or similar.
The second option is only for the use of the algeni loader. In this option it is NOT possible to install new updates. There would always appear the notice that you have to update to 8.6.
It will also automatically gray out the option that is already active. So if you have already applied the update patch, then the button is grayed out until another option is patched.
