The navigation in version 2018/2019 knows more than 10.5 million kilometers of road throughout Europe.
In Eastern Europe, in addition to the Baltic States, Greece, Croatia, Poland, the Slovak Republic, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania are also fully covered.
In the following countries, Prime coverage was significantly expanded:
Poland: + 2 percent, Czech Republic: + 3 percent.
Thanks to intensive work, the quality of the maps of the Czech Republic has increased considerably (110,540 km of Prime Coverage, compared to 101,622 km in the previous version).
With version 2018/2019 90.789 cities and towns are to be controlled.
Accurate navigation to the desired house number extended:
Whilst house numbers in Central and Northern European countries are largely fully capped, coverage has improved in the following countries: Bulgaria: + 5 per cent, Serbia: + 16 per cent.
Points of Interest (POI) - Points of Interest:
Almost 3 million key destinations are on the DVD, including gas stations, parking lots, museums, restaurants and hospitals. Compared to the old version, there are now around 291,000 more POIs available. In addition, if requested, the navigation also shows the fastest route to 2,928 Mercedes-Benz service partners. Alone 44,579 restaurants and 15,756 nightlife destinations were added in the new version 2018/2019.
Dynamic route guidance based on current traffic data (TMC / RDS):
Based on the data of the traffic message channel, the navigation takes into account current traffic warnings for motorways and automatically calculates diversions. This convenient service is now available in 38 countries.
Updates in the road network:
Map updates include millions of changes such as new roads, intersections, bypasses, junctions and motorway exits and exits. A road section may include up to 260 features, such as the number of lanes or one-way streets. All these attributes, but also the considerable number of points of interest, have to be constantly updated. In this new update, for example, over 82,763 roundabouts, 417,450 turn-off restrictions, 188,648 one-way streets and 1,794,643 street names have been updated. Furthermore, over 1,325,177 kilometers of road have been updated, including approximately 21,920 motorway and expressway sections.
Note:
The series C215, W / V220 and R230 are no longer compatible with this DVD version due to a changed software! The last compatible DVD is version 12.0 for the mentioned series.
To ensure an error-free update, the latest system software should be installed on your telematics system.
