Comment faire une mise à jour de mes cartes et de mon logiciel:
Backup SD:
The simplest way to restore a SD Card is still copy and paste of the full content of the SD to the SDD/HDD of your PC/Laptop.
The included backup manager from DLM is not good.
So simply copy and paste. You can also format the SD card with Mercedes DLM again before copying the backup.
Reset SD-Card:
To reset the AUDIO 20 / Garmin Map Pilot to factory settings please proceed as follows.
1.) Go to vehicle settings
2.) Settings of system
3.) Reset the whole Navigation system (you will lose all adjustments made before) time, connections, agenda etc. only if you system allows to make up of this settings you will not need to input again the data.
THIS PROCEDURE has to been made with the SD CARD introduced into the AUDIO 20 unit
Check if write protecion is activated!!!!
Once made, go with the SD CARD to the Laptop/PC introduce it, start the DLM and wait.
Only with latest available DLM (3.0.12) is the one i have actually!
Tell us the results... I made it on some vehicles in the past with update SD - CARDS (with INITIAL SD CARDS this doesn´t work)
IF you put the SD card to LAptop/PC an get the error message to put in vehicle make it and come back to the DLM!
Update procedure:
1. Update the SW (Software) afterwards go to car.
2. Once in car see the update of the SW , onced finished go to
3. The DLM again and put SD wait for message if MAPS Update is available.
(Before all of this apply TRICK with RESET of AUDIO 20 Unit)
It doesn´t matter if car is before or after this MY (Model Year)
Second procedure if the above doesn't work:
Make a Backup from your card in the MDLM Close the program
Start MDM Then recover the card with the backup that you have make the program will format the card on the right way.
Place the card back in the car and reset the system with vehicle settings.
Do the reset not in a closed garage whit no GPS signal as me in open air so that the system get / has time and date by GPS. are drive 5 km around
Place it back in the MDLM see if you can download V15 map
I have tested it with original card v10 in a CLA-2016
Summary:
1. I'm restoring the v10 card with MDM (it is downloading V11, because it had a free update when i bought it and i did that).
2. I activate it in the car.
3. Go to navigation, settings, system, restore.
4. Put sd in laptop again and check for updates (should be latest, v14 or v15?).
5. Update it, let mdm activate card. Close/restart mdm and check again.
5. Put in car and activate again and enjoy new maps.
