NOTE:
this firmware upgrade is designed for EUROPEAN MFD2 DVD units.
how to:
1. burn both images at LOW SPEED (2x-4x)
2. turn ignition on and make sure there are no power supply interruptions (you can start the engine to have good current)
3. press NAV button on your unit and put VWMFD2DVDEU0030.iso into MFD drive it will start to update the firmware - THIS MAY TAKE UP TO 30-40 MINUTES
4. after update done press NAV again and put the UNLOCK CD. unlocking takes just a few seconds the screen will show progress bar in a loop but once it completes single cycle it is safe to remove the disk from unit.
* After that you should be ready to use self burned DVD+R DL disks however you still need to burn them on GOOD QUALITY DISKS AND AT LOW SPEEDS (2x). this has been tested with the VW EUROPE MAP and reported to work ok.
