These are rebuilt MMI3GP cards from Audi for installation on the RNS850.
Maps are installed in the "User" update mode with a forced update of all components. This mode will always be available to you without the need to enable it in the engineering (green) menu.
The Vlasov activator installed on previous maps does not crash and continues to work.
Errors after map updates are already known, as well as methods to deal with them. I got only one error "03276".
In case of problems during installation, it is recommended to first remove old or "crooked" installed cards through the engineering (green) menu.
The installation process is standard, it is described many times on the forums, in short:
1. Copy the contents (ie folders: pkgdb, VW and build1, config.nfm, DBInfo.txt and metainfo2.txt files) to the root of a 32Gb SD memory card formatted in FAT32, standard cluster size.
2. Insert the card into SD slot №1 of the RNS850, which is located in the glove box.
3. Launch the "Development" menu in RNS by simultaneously pressing the "Setup + Phone" buttons. In this menu, select "Update" and in the pop-up window "Software Update" select the update source "SD Card 1".
4. In the next window, you need to select the "User" update method. Set to "Y" all updated components and click the "Start Download" button.
5. Next, in the warning window "Do not interrupt the update", click the "Start" button to restart the RNS and start the update process itself.
6. After 1 hour 20 minutes, the update will end with the display of the "Software Update" window. At the top of the window, if the update is successful, the "Retry" button will be inactive, under which the "Next" button will be active.
7. By clicking the "Next" button, we will receive a message in the window: "Feature of the launch of the tester: head unit/version update. Accepting the error code leads to a reboot." This is fine.
8. Click the "Cancel Documentation" button to reload RNS. That's it, RNS went to reboot and turned off, the map update is completed. We remove the memory card with updates from the RNS slot.
9. Turn on RNS. Press "Setup" and enter the "Settings" menu. Next, by clicking "System/System" and "Version Information" we make sure that we have an updated version of the navigation system database: 8R0060884KB version 6.35.1.
